Free Phone Consultation — Quick Advice Without a Service Visit

Published: July 22, 2026 — CANRO Heating & Cooling — Greater Vancouver, BC

How Our Free Phone Consultation Works

Call our office during business hours. Describe your issue to our experienced dispatcher. They ask targeted questions to understand the problem. Based on your description, they provide: advice on immediate steps you can take, guidance on whether the issue is urgent, a preliminary cost estimate for likely repairs, and options for scheduling a technician if needed.

What We Can Diagnose Over the Phone

Our dispatchers can often identify: pilot light and ignition issues (describe the clicking pattern), error codes (read us the code), thermostat problems (describe the display and behavior), unusual noises (describe the sound type), and visible issues (leaks, ice, soot). Have your equipment model number ready for more accurate advice.

When a Phone Call Replaces a Service Visit

Some issues can be resolved over the phone: dead thermostat batteries, tripped circuit breakers, furnace filter needing replacement, thermostat set to fan ON instead of AUTO, and minor reset procedures. Our dispatcher guides you through these checks. If the issue is resolved, no service visit needed — saving you time and money.

Safety Reminder

If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide or believe there is an immediate danger, leave the property and contact emergency services or the appropriate gas emergency authority. Do not remain inside — exit the building immediately and call for help from outside.
